OffCycle ("we", "us", "our") operates getoffcycle.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using OffCycle, you agree to this policy.
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Profile information: You may optionally provide your first name, last name, school, year, major, finance interests, clubs, LinkedIn URL, and resume text. This information is used solely to personalize AI-generated cold email drafts within the product.
Usage data: We log events such as page views, searches, and feature usage. These logs include a session identifier and, where available, your user ID. We use this to improve the product.
IP address: Collected automatically with each request. Used for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and security monitoring.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number, CVV, or billing address. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives your email and payment details to complete transactions.
Anthropic: When you use the AI email draft feature, a prompt including your profile data (name, school, year, interests) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the email. No identifiable data is retained by Anthropic per their API usage policy.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Your account data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Upon deletion, your email, profile, and usage history are permanently removed from our database.
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. All traffic is transmitted over HTTPS. We monitor for unusual access patterns and will notify you if we detect unauthorized access to your account.
OffCycle is intended for users aged 13 and older. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old. If we become aware that a user under 13 has registered, we will delete that account.
You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected].
We use browser localStorage to store your theme preference (dark/light mode). We use a server-side session cookie to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Continued use of OffCycle after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be communicated by email.
